Alan Orr Seminar & Grading

By - Sundays seminar focusing on Structure and Boxing skills

Sundays Seminar was the first time many of Cyclones members have had the opportunity to meet and train with my teacher Sifu Alan Orr which I'm pleased to say they took with both hands.

Alan went through the system explaining the core of the Chu Sau Lei system with the passion and expertise with which he has become synonymous.  As the day moved on the emphasis moved further and further towards our boxing system and the guys gloved up and the temperature in the studio room rose both literally and in training terms.

The day ended with everyone having passed their level one in the Chu Sau Lei Wing Chun system.

Alan comments on his blogspot this:

" I just got back from teaching a seminar for our Newcastle branch school run by Alex Wright and Ben Biles.
It was excellent to see the hard work of Alex and Ben paying off. They have a strong group of like minded people. The skill levels in Newcastle have really grown this year. I know Alex has been putting a a lot of effort into the development of the school this year. His focus and hard work really did show today!
Ben is a rock as always! Great to see him.
Good to catch up with my good friend Pete Irving as well.
We covered the structure of striking and structural boxing methods. Reviewed some important basics and new progressions.

It was a good day!
Well done to the Newcastle Branch! They are bringing great honuor to our school name."
